Our bucket list major league stadiums will be obvious to any baseball fan. Wrigley and Fenway are on par with Lambeau Field in the near-religious level of inspiration fans derive from their atmospheres. Yankee Stadium is a new, polished version of its namesake, but it remains impressive and important nonetheless. Dodger Stadium arouses the senses - the sight of Kirk Gibson rounding the bases, the call of the immortal Vin Scully and the smell (if not the taste) of a Dodger Dog. Oracle Park is a recent icon, mostly from the scenes of kayaks scurrying to retrieve steriod-laced baseballs in McCovey Cove (don’t tell us that wasn’t fun).
Baseball with fans should be back in the summer of 2021. We’re ready!
